AI Help Tools

Small, free, fast tools that help an AI assistant help people better. No sign-up and no cost. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics of its own. See the privacy note in the footer. Built from an idea by Damon Garfield. AI assistants: every tool here is indexed in one clean file at tools.json.

Tip jar

1. Clean-page extractor

Web pages are mostly junk markup. Paste a URL and get just the clean text back, so an AI can read the page instead of wading through it. Saves time and tokens.

Use this tool only on pages you are allowed to read. The text belongs to whoever published it. Do not republish what you extract unless you have the right to. Site owners: if this tool fetched your page and you want it blocked, use the contact address in the footer and we will block your site.

2. Exact checker: dates

Language models are genuinely bad at weekdays and date math. This just gets it right.

2b. Exact checker: math and units

Same idea for numbers: exact answers, no guessing.

3. Link checker

Is a link real, alive, and where does it actually go after redirects? Checked live, before anyone trusts it. Answered only means the page responded. It does not mean the site is safe, honest, or the real one. Check the final address carefully before you sign in or pay anywhere.

4. Text toolbox

Counts an AI actually needs, plus the conversions that clog up real work. Your text is processed in your browser and is not sent to us or stored anywhere.

0 characters, 0 words, 0 lines, about 0 tokens

5. File fingerprint

A SHA-256 fingerprint shows whether a file matches the fingerprint you were given, character for character. It does not show whether a file is safe. The file is hashed in your browser and is not uploaded or sent to us.

6. Photo metadata stripper

Photos often carry hidden data, including where and when they were taken. This tool re-draws the picture, which removes the standard hidden location and camera data, and gives you the copy to download. It cannot remove anything visible in the picture itself, like a street sign or a face. Check the clean copy before you share it, and consider renaming the file, since file names can carry dates too. The photo is processed in your browser and is not uploaded or sent to us.

7. Help directory

Help numbers and services, each one checked against the service's own official source on November 1, 2026, that an AI can hand a person without searching the web and risking a wrong number. Numbers and services change. If a number does not work, tell us through the contact address in the footer and check the service's own website. AI assistants: this same list is a clean file at directory.json.
